Tuesday Rookies Rock

Emphasis is on having fun while gaining an appreciation of the sport's fundamentals. Instructor(s) are available to address questions that arise. League play occurs on Tuesdays and will alternate with the Learn to Curl group, 6pm-8pm and 8pm-10pm.
New teams will be made up approximately 8 weeks into the season as we welcome participants from the Fall L2C program. Participation in this League is limited to three years so that we may continue to welcome novices into the program and encourage growth in our other Leagues.
The 2024 Fall Session concluded Dec. 3rd with a playoff featuring the top two teams duking it out for bragging rights. Team Allin jumped to an early lead with Team Fotsch slowly overtaking their opponents. In the last end, Team Martin scored to tie the game. Rather than playing an extra end or throwing one rock to the button to break the tie, the teams agreed to shake hands and declare both as Fall Champions. Sunday Youth - Bantam Curling (Age 10-17)
Our Youth Curling program is designed to introduce children (ages 7-17) to one of the fastest growing sports in Canada. Regardless of gender or physical prowess, curling offers every child an opportunity to participate as an equal member of a team.
The season typically consists of 2 eight week sessions (FALL & WINTER) that will take place on Sunday afternoons.
Little Rocks (7yrs to 9yrs) from 2:00pm-3:00pm.
Youth/Bantam (10yrs to 15yrs) from 3:00pm-5:00pm.
In addition to instruction, participants will be offered the opportunity to play several games against other youth from other curling clubs who may either visit us or with us visiting them.
For the safety of our youth curlers they MUST wear a bike helmet, hockey helmet, or certified head protection to prevent unwanted head injuries. Any curler not wearing a helmet will not be permitted to participate in on ice activities that week. Children over the age of 15 who started in the program at an earlier age may continue to participate; if they are newcomers, they are encouraged to register in our Learn 2 Curl sessions.
